How do you craft a narrative that educates, inspires, and resonates with your audience?
In this article, we’ll be sharing three powerful tips from Jacqueline Frost, our Content Creator of the Month. Jacqueline is a leadership coach who has honed the art of crafting epic content. She’s the Founder of Elevate Talent and the creator of The EPIC Formula®, a specific method designed to help organisations build a strong pipeline of talented women coming through into senior-level positions.
So far, she has reached over 8,000 women, encouraging and inspiring them to become exceptional leaders. Here’s how she has leveraged content to achieve this:
Frame your content around your core message
It’s one thing to have a brilliant idea or a core message. But are you truly driving it home? As the famous quote from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight goes, “It’s about sending the message.”
The real magic happens when you build a solid content strategy around that core message. By consistently weaving that one idea through each piece of content, you transform it from a simple string of words into a living, breathing philosophy.
This not only helps you establish your unique identity but also ensures that you remain at the forefront of your audience’s minds.
When Jacqueline developed The EPIC Formula®, she didn’t stop at simply creating a powerful methodology. Instead, she used it as a springboard to launch a webinar programme designed to empower aspiring women “find their EPIC” and build powerful relationships.
Create short-form content
With people’s attention spans dwindling every day, short-form content is important now more than ever to grab your audience’s attention and keep them engaged. In fact, studies indicate that B2B consumers prefer short, visual, and mobile-optimised content.
But what exactly does this mean?
The goal of short-form content is to get one message across as quickly and efficiently as possible. This means the content has to be less than 1,000 words in length (for written copy) and should be easy to digest.
Bear in mind that short-form copy isn’t here to completely replace long-form content. Instead, they can complement each other to drive even better results. For instance, the former is a great way to get new audience members and leads while the latter can nurture and convert them.
What we love about Jacqueline’s content strategy is that she’s constantly harnessing the power of short-form content by creating easily digestible informational blogs and social media posts to supplement her webinars.
Show up for your audience every day
Consistency is key to engaging and staying front-of-mind with your audience. But it’s about more than churning out content day after day. It’s about delivering high-quality, share-worthy content that leaves a lasting impact.
One of the best ways to show up for your audience is by establishing a regular posting schedule across social media platforms, online communities, and any other channels where they can discover your content. Just as importantly, incorporate calls to action (CTAs) within each content piece. Encourage your audience to take the next step, whether it’s subscribing to your newsletter, joining a webinar, or participating in a discussion.
Jacqueline’s blogs all point to her webinars, encouraging readers to sign up and “find their EPIC”.
Her content strategy is a prime example of what it means to engage and be there for your audience. From publishing regular social media posts to delivering high-quality monthly webinars, she consistently shows up for her network, nurturing them and helping them to thrive within the workplace.
Jacqueline also has a podcast in the works, which serves as an additional tool to connect with her audience and build a flourishing community.
